Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Twas the Night Before Christmas, and all through the house...there were many "creatures" stirring....

you could not even find a place to sit...but, we think this is the best gift of all!!!
In hopes that Saint Nicholas would soon be there!

Ja'Ja' and Justin assured Brighton that Santa would be here soon...
While Grandpa and Mimi told Emerson that Good Ol' Saint Nick would make sure she felt better! Poor little sweet pea had the croup, a double ear infection, and an upper respiratory infection! After a year of NEVER being sick, she decided to just tough it out, and see what being "sick" was all about!! I honestly would have NEVER known, even after 5 kids, that she was "this" sick....It broke my heart , and just goes to show what an angel she is!!!

Ginger bread houses

We cruised on over to Miss Amy and Garrett's house to make some gingerbread houses. Thank you so much, Miss Amy, Miss Leslie, and Allison for such a great time!
The kids were so creative with their houses!

while Berklie just wanted to eat the goodies!
It was so cold, but not too cold for a ride in the gator...
All of the kiddies won the contest for the "best" gingerbread house!
Emerson sat inside with Miss Tara eating goldfish.
Stafford was a bit late...well he missed the whole "thing" because he was at baseball. Miss Leslie made him a "set" of goodies and a house to go. Brighton and Berklie were so proud of their houses! It was dessert for a day, or two.

The "Real" Deal!

Happy Birthday, Mom!! We had the best day ever, and we love you..."to the moon, and back again!!!" Lunch at Cincos with Aunt Janet was really yummy!!! We love you too, Aunt Janet!

Then we "finally got to see the "REAL SANTA" at Phipps!! We have waited since we first made our appointment in October.

We picked Stanton and Stafford up at school, thus the uniforms, and headed up 400 to see Santa Claus himself!

All Brighton could ask for was to feel better...yep, he got SICK all over himself as we pulled into the parking lot. My poor Mom...all she could do was LAUGH! As I, yes indeed, parked the car, scooped out the mess, used some wipes and a "little" Tide stick, some antibacterial gel, I declared..."perfect...we have 15 minutes to spare...come on guys, we are off to see the REAL DEAL, the REAL Santa!!" A little cologne in the men's department, and strict orders not to allow Brighton to sit on Santa's actual lap...just look, smile, ask nicely, say thanks Santa, and go on your way!! Humility you say...we made this appointment October 16Th!! My poor little buddy!!

* Please note an amazing fact...Brighton was sick...really sick, on the way home, all night, high fever, slept in our bed, no Bo checked "out" for the night, and no one else...knock on wood, has received this illness...pretty weird, huh?!!
Here he is...the REAL DEAL!!! Isn't he "beautiful?!!!" Please keep Santa in your prayers that he doesn't get sick!

Happy Birthday to our sweet princess and very dear friend, Sydney!

We loved making Christmas ornaments at your party!

The princess bounce house was the best! We didn't even realize it was cold outside!

We really loved the club house too! Thank you, Katie, for keeping such a close eye on all of those little kids! You are the BEST!

Breakfast With The Big Man, Himself!

Breakfast with Santa was a bit early, but we made it!
Saint Benedicts was the place to be, I tell you!
Sydney was even there!

Stafford, and Jack were "elf" helpers to the big man himself.

Stanton and Alex were actually the "head" elfs and assisted Santa directly.

Brighton thinks Santa is his "BEST" friend, and kept bringing him things, such as peeled orange slices, sticky candy canes, water. I think this was because Stanton stood by Good Ol' Saint Nick the whole time. He really was quite funny, that little man!

Emerson loved the whole breakfast thing, the story time, the crafts, and all of the junk she could try and eat off of the floor! Yuck!!
Story time was awesome while waiting our turn for Santa!
