The Rebels biggest hero! Look out Dawgs, he'll be ready for you when the time comes...but, will YOU be ready for him?!

This is Stafford's best baseball buddy, Chad Garrett. During their tournament last weekend, Chad became Stafford's hero! While he was running in to home plate, Chad had a collision with the catcher. It was the final out, yes he was OUT, and the game ended Rebels, our team, 7, Mount Paran Knights, 8! From what I have heard, and thank the good Lord I did not see, it was the worst thing Stafford and Bo (and I am sure the rest of the team!) have ever witnessed! His leg basically snapped in half and was completely mangled...it makes me cry even as I write this post! The ambulance came, they were in Hamilton, Ga., and rushed Chad off to Scottish Rite. The whole Rebels team followed behind the Garrett family and ambulance. Thanks be to God that the break was in a good spot...if you can call it that! His leg broke in the Tibia and Fibula and he has a RED cast...GO DAWGS...all the way from his ankle to his hip. Chad showed such bravery and humility not only to his team mates, but the Mount Paran team as well! He smiled the whole time...as you can see on his face, he has a GREAT smile! These pictures were taken on Sunday night...the same day as the "accident," and the spirit of the Garrett family is so refreshing and uplifting it leaves us in awe! Thank you for being such an inspiration to others!!

Chad came for a little visit today. He brought his pillows to prop his leg on and of course that great attitude, and constant smile! Thanks Chad, and Marcia, for allowing Chad to come hang out...the boys played Wii, ate pizza, and watched a little TV. It was great, and Brighton and Berklie LOVED it!

The best part was when Brighton stubbed his toe while playing in the pool today...I'll give him the fact that he did lose skin, and it did bleed, however.......I think he will live! He carried on and on about his TOE. After he SCREAMED his way through their bath, he got a baseball band aid...pretty cool, huh? He was all better, but he just needed to lay down in Mommy and Daddy's bed...OK, BUT he needed our bolster to prop his leg up on! Just like Chad and his "BOO-BOO...no touch!!!"

I should have taken a picture, but I didn't...just imagine! It was, indeed, hilarious! What a BOY, God love him!!

Chad had such a great time, he had to "crawl" out of here! he he!! I tickle myself!

***Just a little note...The Mount Paran Knights sent Chad a cookie bouquet yesterday. The Garrett family also received a note of great concern and apology from their catcher with whom Chad had his collision!! Amazing sportsmanship!

Chad, we will miss you terribly next week while we are in Panama City!! Each run we get is for you...maybe we will win the whole tournament! Tell your Mom we are still willing to take you with us...you can be my "nanny" for the week. I'll give you a baby monitor, AND a bell! I am REALLY serious, but not about the nanny part! We have an extra room, just for you, because Stanton is in Disney!

GO REBELS!!!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Heather, Brynn, and Lara!

Happy Birthday to Aunt Heather, Lara, and Brynn!! You know you are at a great party when you get to change clothes three times! There was a little bit of everything...swimming, pony rides, pizza, and of course, cake! Thanks for having us...we love you Mimi and Papa Drewry, and don't get to see you enough!!!

Teresa and Miss Christine take a little break.

Emerson thinks Mason is hilarious with those "zerberts!" ...and he is!!!

Aunt Laurel, Mason, and Emerson...great job with the baby, Mason! Your new baby will be here before we know it!!

Brynn, the big 4 year old, gets a ride on her new pony! Just wait until you get to take Maggie for a spin! Happy Birthday, princess!!

Teresa gets a ride in her bikini...does it get any cuter than this?!!

Pony rides are the best!!

Why would you ride a horse when you can ride a truck?!

Lara, the big "six" year old, and Aunt Heather...I won't tell how old you are, but you are YOUNGER than me! Happy birthday, sweet girl...we are so proud of you going in to FIRST grade!!

Sierra gets a ride too!

Berklie would not leave Uncle Donnie's lap! Thanks for the snuggles, oh yeah, and the JUICE!! She talked about Uncle Donnie and her juices he gave her first thing Monday AM...OK, you won the prize, but we might have to get you to "vet" her teeth when they rot out though because we don't have dental insurance! he he!! You're the best!! XOXOXO

Gee gives Emerson some good old fashioned Grandma time! It was so great to see you, Gee! Thank you for keeping Emerson so happy!! You look great!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the water slide, or the "scary" slide as Brighton said!! Bryce is one brave boy!

Brighton loves to drink the water from the fountain in the pool...is it made in China?

Oh, the places boys must go...do you see any pictures of the boys on the ponies? Do you think it is an inborn thing that they automatically would rather ride something else?!

And another thing with boys...why does everything turn into a "gun?" It really is such a strange thought, isn't it?! It is so true, and there is nothing you can do about it...so pick and choose your battles, girls!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,and as always, thanks for a great time!!! We love you all!!

The beginning of summer fun!

Stanton and Stafford on Friday, May 30th...their last day at Notre Dame Academy!!

Berklie and her "gasses!" Must not go anywhere without the bow!! We have a future swimmer on our hands! She LOVES the water...jumps in and goes under!! I'll try to get some pictures of it today.

Emerson is all set for the pool!

Brighton and Berklie give "Mommy's baby" some nice, cool, water...refreshing after a day at the pool!

These goggles are Berklie's new fave...she sleeps with them on her rocking chair in their room in hopes of going back to the pool as soon as she wakes up! She is all done swimming and very disappointed to have to go home!

Stafford and Brighton are looking for tennis balls because the courts are right above the pool...a favorite past time of boys!!

Brighton has the ball and is ready to go home now...have I mentioned that I think he is a "klepto?"
